I purchased the box set with the first books in this series and once I started reading it I absolutely could not stop. I think it took me 2 days to finish all of them because all I did was read. It draws you in and holds you captive. One of the most creative and amazing books I've ever read. Such an interesting concept with relatable and loveable characters even amidst all the drama and death. It's one of a kind and an absolute must read. The best book purchase I've made this year. If you want action and romance and paranormal all in one this is the book for you.Product details

Holy cliffhanger Batman!

This picked up right where the last book ended. The "dead" come back to life and old faces reappear, although not necessarily for the best. Aiden - not dead, back from Africa.Whatever he does there is still unclear. At least Shay is out of jail, since Aiden's alive she obviously didn't kill him.
Eli is drinking again due to a misunderstanding, but the worst part is he's now abusive. I really lost respect for him. It seems he just wants any excuse to drink. I don't care that he doesn't remember it the next day, it's unacceptable. First Shay tries to excuse him and forgive. Then she realizes she's one of "those women". Yes, turns out even the most innocent can justify a drunk abuser's behavior. Good for Shay for eventually kicking his butt to the curb. I'd like to see him suffer a nice right hook.
Of course Shay's father, the former police commissioner tries to justify Eli's behavior by saying how "difficult" Shay can be. OK 1- there is NEVER.EVER. an excuse to hit a woman. Any guy who does should have his balls cut off b/c he sure doesn't deserve them. Shay's dad is the stereotypical sexist who thinks a woman who's hit "did" something. I really hope the Spectre takes this d-bag out. And 2. Aren't cops supposed to help people? No, instead this misogynistic jerk does everything but. He even eliminates someone he feels is a threat (I won't tell you who, but I will say I was actually rooting for HER more than anyone else who was surrounding Shay). And what's this "Organization",eh Harry? You need to come clean MF...
I love that Shay became stronger, not needing either man (Aiden or Eli) in her life. She's becoming quite the independent woman.
The end was quite a ride, and Shay is put away somewhere that she doesn't deserve to be - at least I don't think so. People and things we thought might be paranormal, aren't and vice verse. I really am looking forward to book 5 !!
Will good versus evil triumph? This book is a heart stopper. Shay finding the courage to move on from Eli and adien. Will they survive it? How can you defeat the spectra without losing yourself in the madness off it all. Anxiously awaiting for book 5 to come out.
I assume if you've made it this far, you don't really need a review, but I wanted to say it was another captivating book with great characters. I was especially wowed by the description of Eli at the very beginning when Shay sees him at the table. I'm dying to know more about what's going on with Aiden though and crossing my fingers to get some answers in the next book. Well written and enjoyable book, like the last. Looking forward to seeing what happens at the ending!
I couldn't wait to read this book. I was interested to see if the author (Bella Roccaforte) would be able to keep up the level of suspense that was evident in the previous books. Bella Roccaforte didn't disappoint, this book was Awesome. I personally think that she is on the way to being of the same caliber as Stephen King, Patricia Caldwell, Dean Koontz, and James Patterson. I can't wait for the fifth installment of the series. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a well written story and has read all of the books that lead up to this one.
I am running out of words to describe the Ink Series by Ms. Bella. When I read this book, I lived and breathed Shay. (Yes, strange dude I am.)
Shay is free from jail now that repugnant Aiden is alive and he is keeping some new secrets about the trip to Africa. I did not care for Eli when he started abusing our lady, pretending the drinking(which he had given up but now controls him) and how quickly Shay stands up for him. Wrong on so many fronts. I sure hope Shay drops both Eli and Aiden?
Ms. Bella weaves a story that grabs hold and keeps the reader begging for more. Keep writing Ms. Bella, we want more!
Shay's out of jail now that scumbag Adien has come back from Africa; but, he won't say why he fled. Eli, her other love interest, is back in the bottle so far he pulled the cork in after him and she DEFENDS him. So, yeah, Shay's life is pretty screwed up. Shay is pretty screwed up. Then again anyone would be who had what looks like a multi-dimensional evil spirit pursuing her. Plus, what's her father's secret organization up to with her?
The cliffhanger just screams wait until book 5!
